Does anyone else feel like Tuesdays are usually much harder than Mondays? I find myself feeling inspired and motivated on the first day of the week, but can’t keep that feeling going the next morning.
Anyway, I was trying to think of other blog posts that would be relevant during quarantine, and so I decided to share my favorite low calorie snacks with you all!
Daytime snacking is something I easily avoid while at work, but since I’ve been working from home I’ve been munching a lot more throughout the day.
These snacks are fairly healthy, all under 300 calories, and will give you some protein that can help you feel fuller for longer. If you haven’t tried these, I highly recommend them and they all have a pretty long shelf-life, as well!
As soon as I tasted these delicious little Belvita Bites last Winter, I knew they’d be a regular in my snack rotation. They come in a larger version, but I love the little bite size pieces. You can get them in cinnamon brown sugar, chocolate, or blueberry flavor and they’re around 230 calories per bag.
String cheese has been a longtime fave of mine; I often bring it to work as an early morning snack. It’s around 90 calories, reminds me of my childhood, and is low fat. A good alternative to string cheese is…any other cheese! I personally like cutting pieces of cheddar right off the block. Just make sure you keep track of how many you eat.
Rice cakes are an awesome snack because they’re light, tasty, and come in so many variations. I like the full size ones, but the bite size snack packs are reminiscent to eating a bag of chips. Apple cinnamon and caramel are my favorite flavors, but the possibilities really are endless here. These large cakes are just 35 calories each!
This is another throwback from my school lunch days. I mean, who doesn’t love fruit snacks? They’re perfect for when you’re craving something sweet, and are only about 80 calories per bag. I personally love the Welch’s fruit snacks the best, but there are tons of brands and flavors available.
There you have it! A simple post about some simple, tasty snacks. Which of these is your favorite snack? Let me know in the comments, and feel free to suggest any other low cal snacks that you enjoy!
As always, thanks for reading. I’ll be back with more soon…<3
